I started my career in Law Enforcement in August, 1976, with the Salina (KS) Police Department. I returned to my native North Platte area in October, 1977 and began with the North Platte Police Dept. as a Patrol Officer, promoted to Sgt. in 1981 and then to LT. in May, 1998. As a LT, I was assigned to Patrol, afternoon shift. With recent promotions and retirements, our department was streamlined and I am now in charge of the Patrol Division and have four shift Sergeants directing daily police operations. I graduated from the Northwestern University, School of Police Staff and Command in 2001 in Evanston, Ill.
My wife Linda and I, together have 5 children and 10 grandchildren.
