Brian Jackson currently serves as the Assistant Chief for the Lincoln Police Department and commands the Operations and Support Divisions. Brian has more than twenty-seven years of law enforcement experience, starting with the Hastings Police Department as a Reserve Officer and Patrolman until hired by Lincoln in 1987. He has held a number of assignments including commander of the Lincoln/Lancaster Drug Task Force, shift commander, department armorer, technical criminal investigations, community services, generalist officer and others. Brian is a graduate of the FBI National Academy (233rd), received his undergraduate degree from Doane College in 1999 and a Masters of Public Administration from UNO in 2010. Originally from Iowa, he has been married for over 30years and has three adult children.
